Firstly, big thanks to the many true believers, who have stuck with us or managed to track us down during our ‘let’s-let-everyone-mess-with-our-careers’ phase. Needless to say, we have no intention of signing away our rights so readily again
Our first independent album Free Pawn, started things rolling, and we have since released two eEPs, with plenty more to follow.
Those of you familiar with this page will know that we are currently doing everything to facilitate the next stage of their 'public awareness' campaign, which so far has been confined primarily to this site and word of mouth, together with some small press features. Our myspace page has begun to attract a healthy amount of new fans from outsie the UK, and Free Pawn will soon be available to buy on CD in the US from Playtheassassin records, who have been unbelievably supportive.
The reality is, however, that funding everything ourselves is extremely difficult. We aren't a record company, and therefore do not have a record company's budget, which in turn means that the 'conventional' media avenues (radio, TV, and press) are closed to us. We are solely dependent on whatever we sell via this site to keep things going. How much longer we are able to do so depends on whether or not we are able to spread the word and persuade people that mp3s are just as valid a format as CDs.
This site will continue to evolve and we’d appreciate your input: post stuff on our notice board, talk on our forum (register your email address and you’ll automatically be kept informed of AP&S activities), send photos, reviews, or simply email us.
Finally, huge thanks to Dave Culleton and Nick Smith for artwork and design, Craig Donnelly for a lot of the live photos up on the site and finally Chris Eaton for designing the website.
