the best summer block buster i have seen in ages. who would have thought that star trek could ever be cool again. well acted great action and an engaging story.

I loved it... absolutely fantasic.. and Im not normally a Star Trek fan. I came away wanting to watch more Star Trek films, in the hope that they are all as good as this one!! Good in that it wasnt mind numbing (like Wolverine), there was some juicy, time-warpy things to think about.

Simon Pegg is fooking hilarious... Love him.

Pegg was one of the early castings, if I remember. May have been before Kirk

Great film, really breathed some life into the franchise. It often gets too overly geeky, this just has good action and enough meat to keep the geeks happy.

Only thing that lets it down - it need more Pegg Best actor/character by far

Is that just cause it was Pegg or because he actually did a good job and the writing for the part was the best?

It is an ace part. Pegg makes a great job of it, but Scottie was always a strong character, and they needed to make more of it.

Hopefully he will have more of it in the next film
